Recently renovated, this property features three beautifully appointed bedrooms, two modern bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a spacious outdoor entertainment area complete with a fire pit. Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided at this property. Please note that Wi-Fi is offered as a complimentary service only and, while we do our best to ensure it is available, no compensation will be offered if the service is unavailable or disrupted.

The beach house comfortably sleeps eight guests, with three queen beds and two single beds, and all linen and towels provided for your convenience. We're delighted to welcome your furry friend! Please note, a refundable security deposit is required as part of our pet-friendly policy. Free on-street parking is available directly outside the property

  The property was great, it is nestled behind the shops which we were a little concerned about. But once we were there it was amazing, it was surprisingly very very quiet and the shopkeepers are easy to make friends with. The house was clean and easy to settle in to. Great app selection on the TV and we also used the BBQ quite easily. The only feedback or thing to make note of is that there is no side gate so if you have younger children that may be a consideration and we also had a few people get curious and walk down the side (not realising it was a property) so if you are looking for a private stay that might be a consideration. Also there was no strainer and we were cooking pasta so that was the only other thing, but very minor detail. Other than those 2 small things we loved it so much and definitely will be back again, we also have already sent the link to 4 other family members and friends.

  The house was very well presented, clean and very centrally located. The main downside is the noise - the walls do not reach the ceiling which means even the quietest of sounds can be heard between rooms.

  The Bunker is in a great location, right next door to the General store that is well stocked as is the bottle shop. A short walk to the beach and the Hat Head bowls club where we had a lovely meal. The property was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed cooking a few meals in the kitchen. Alas we weren’t there long enough to use the fire pit or Barbecue. We will definitely stay here again on our next venture south.

  We’ve stayed here a couple of times and will keep coming back.
  The Bunker is right next to the general store, which is a cracking little shop with pretty much everything you’d need (excellent bottle shop in it!).
  The only issue is that the walls separating the rooms do not go up to the ceiling, meaning there’s not much privacy and anything in the house can be heard. If you’re just a couple staying there, no issues - if you’re a family it’s a good thing to know!!
  It works for us though and is a comfortable, clean place that only got renovated a few years ago.

  Overall, i'm sorry to say but the management of this property was a real disappointment, almost all of our issues would have been avoided with a basic level of service, there was no response to my emails and no number to call other than in an emergency?!? i am not sure what warrants an emergency. Perhaps some of the following? not sure. I emailed requesting a phone call to discuss and still have not received a call.
  
  1. Before arrival we received a text message asking us to take the bins out, surely the cleaners could have done this prior to our arrival.
  2. The outdoor areas were covered in debris which we cleaned.
  3. BBQ gas tank empty on arrival! The only BBQ we had planned for the week was the first night. After we had completed all the salads and sides I went to turn the BBQ on and there was no gas. There was a note in the email to refill the gas and keep a receipt but this was not possible because the shops had shut.
  4. three forks! (we later found one in another draw - so 4). The accommodation is supposed to cater for 8.... not enough wine glasses to cater for four adults.
  5. The shower drain in the main bathroom was completely blocked! so it overflowed across the floor on first use by one of the kids, again after the shop was shut. Draino cleared the drain after two goes at it. This would have been very obvious to any cleaner.
  6. The beds were not all made up, although there were enough made up which was a little odd and some of the pillows were not clean.
  Overall the accommodation is comfortable although the walls don't go to the ceiling (perhaps to allow for air movement for AC?) so there is no acoustic privacy at all.
  For a very expensive property this was a pretty underwhelming experience.

  We had a great stay at The Bunker, Hat Head! The location was perfect, we had an amazing time within walking distance to the beach, club and other guests staying in town. The facilities provided at The Bunker were great but the overall cleanliness let the stay down. There was mould on the doors, dust right through the trims of the house and there seemed to be dog hair, i am assuming from a previous guest, and there was dog hair around the lounge room and underneath the lounge. Having said this, we had a great stay and would go back again but would speak with the Agent regarding the previous issues.

  3 senior couples enjoyed a relaxing weekend away at this nicely appointed home. Lovely bedrooms, comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms & living area.   Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Bunker. Stove was fantastic , I wanted to take it home! We think the addition of a BBQ and an awning would enhance the property so the women weren’t stuck in the kitchen but at least the males cleaned up and loaded the dishwasher after our dinners. Prompt answer by text when trying to hook into the wifi and making sure everything was ok. Totally comfortable for 4 adults but could easily accommodate 8. Linen being provided was a bonus.

  Freshly renovated house so it’s clean and new with everything you’d want in a holiday house. It’s right next to the main shop in HH which has also been freshly renovated and has most everything you’d need.
  House hasn’t got a front yard and the back yard is paved and smallish, so it is more suited a family with little kids or a couple by themselves.
  We had an excellent few days away and will be staying here again.
