Step into a beautiful older-style home filled with light and warmth. The perfect spot for a relaxing holiday escape. With its open-plan design and air conditioning, this home is made for comfort and easy living.

At the front, a small welcoming porch sets the tone for your stay the perfect spot for morning coffee or watching the world go by.

Downstairs you’ll find a cosy Queen bedroom, while upstairs the spacious open-plan loft offers a King bed plus two Singles. The single beds are set in their own nook with a portable timber-frame divider, giving that extra touch of privacy while keeping the space light and airy.

The kitchen, complete with dishwasher, has everything you need to whip up those memorable holiday meals. With two bathrooms, each featuring a bath, everyone can unwind in comfort after a day of adventure.

The back deck is a true highlight overlooking the fenced yard, it’s the perfect place to settle into the outdoor furniture, fire up the BBQ, and enjoy long afternoons together. There’s even space in the garage for your bikes and surfboards (please note, no car will fit inside the garage it's for storage only).

This is a homely, welcoming getaway you’ll be delighted to return to each year.

While we ensure that all beds are equipped with mattress protectors, pillows, pillowcases, quilts, and quilt covers, we kindly ask guests to bring their own sheets, towels, bath mats, and tea towels. Additionally, guests are expected to provide their own laundry detergent, dish soap, personal soap, and toilet paper among other personal necessities.

    We love the house and location. However, we're likely to try somewhere different next time. On our last visit with my parents, the TV remotes were broken and we couldn't watch anything the entire 2 week stay. This visit, the aircon was broken and with temps of 33°, the upstairs room was unbearable. It seems like something that's advertised with the place is never functional and you have to chase up the team multiple times to get a straight answer as to what's going on and if things will (or in our case, will not) be fixed.

    We totally loved the house. Very comfortable and has everything you need. A great kitchen, shed, lots of room. The trundle bed, should you have 7 in the house, can’t be pulled all the way out though as the space is very small so mattress will need to be removed and placed either with the big upstairs bed or in the lounge room. Plenty of room for that though. Wasn’t as clean as expected on arrival but not an issue. We just had the best 17 nights here.

    Need front lock fixed button hard to push in sticking
    Need outdoor lights at front. Not working could not see at night
    Lawns were long and overgrown
    Fans very noisy and low circulation. Could be upgraded.

    Nice cottage. We booked a month ahead however the front yard and the back yard is not well maintained.
    The shower head on the groundfloor bathroom definitely need a replacement however the owner or management seems not bother with it just using rope to quick fix it which is not working anyway.
    The only downside is NO BBQ at all! When I booked i didn't check if there's a BBQ or not as I assume it's very common for an Aussie holiday rental has a BBQ, and it still has a sign in laundry to clean BBQ after use other wise you will be charged extra for cleaning!

    We loved our stay at Hat Head. The house was great and we appreciated the double height lounge and loft overlooking it which you can't quite grasp from the photos. There are stairs but it worked OK with our young kids but be mindful that it could be an issue for some kids.

    The property exceeded my expectations, it was roomy and had plenty of space for my teens to sprawl out when it rained. Loved having 2 bathrooms and access to store bikes in the garage out of the rain.
    Needed help to get into the property due to miscommunication... the lock box is on the front porch, don't try to use the broken one on the back porch! The agents responded quickly via the emergency mobile number which was very much appreciated!
    Would definitely book this property again. It met all our needs.
